Lead-acid or lithium?
Lead-acid and lithium systems have different charging, installation and maintenance requirements. Evaluate usable energy, permitted discharge, cycle conditions and total ownership cost rather than comparing Ah labels across different voltages.
Compatibility comes first
Match the battery bank voltage, permitted charge current, inverter settings and any required communication protocol. A lithium battery’s management system does not make every inverter compatible.
What to compare
Read the exact model documentation and warranty conditions. Check who handles inspection, transport, replacement and disposal.
- Rated and usable energy.
- Warranty period and operating conditions.
- Temperature and location requirements.
- Local service and replacement lead time.
Care and end-of-life
Use the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule. Keep batteries protected from heat and accidental contact. Return end-of-life batteries through an appropriate authorised collection or recycling channel.
