INGAA LIFE
Trainee to professional

Progression

How a trainee becomes an INGAA Trained Professional.

The programme is being set up. Intake dates, fees and pay are not announced yet.

Four stages

You move on when your work shows you are ready. No one works alone on a customer job before passing the practical check.

Trainee

Learn safety, electrical basics and customer care for your track. We plan to explain in Tamil and teach the English technical words used on equipment. Finishing the lessons alone does not let you work on your own.

Supervised work

Practise on a training setup, then work on real jobs alongside an experienced supervisor. Keep a record of what you saw, what you did and what you learned.

INGAA Trained Professional

Pass a practical check against the work standard, including every safety item. You can then work on INGAA customer jobs, in the type of work you were checked for. With experience, you can also train others as a mentor. This is an INGAA check, not a government qualification or an electrical licence.

Partner (optional)

After a steady record of good work, you can apply to run a local service as an INGAA partner, on terms agreed in writing. See the partner programme.
