What you learn
- Electrical safety, and reading the manufacturer’s manual for each product.
- Model labels, indicator lights and warranty papers.
- Listing the appliances to run in a power cut, and explaining backup time.
- Spotting damage or faults that need expert help.
How you show you are ready
Keep a record of your practice work, then pass a practical check against the work standard. Practice tasks include:
- Fill in a sample service form for a customer’s problem.
- Compare battery types and explain the differences.
- Write a simple battery care card for an owner.
For each supervised job, record the cause, what you did and how you checked it. Never open sealed battery packs or improvise repairs.
