Identify before you maintain
Some flooded inverter batteries require electrolyte-level checks and manufacturer-specified distilled water. This does not apply to every battery. Do not open sealed or lithium battery packs, add acid, or improvise a charging setting. Keep the model number, installation date and manual together so service advice matches the equipment.
- Maintain the ventilation and clearances specified for your installation.
- Keep metal objects and ignition sources away from battery terminals.
- Arrange trained service for leaks, swelling, damage or unusual heat.
Keep a simple service record
INGAA owner checklist: note backup performance under a similar load, warning messages and service visits. A shorter runtime can have several causes, so avoid replacing parts on guesswork. Ask the technician to explain findings and any proposed changes before work proceeds. Do not handle leaked material or attempt a damaged-pack repair.
- Use the correct charging profile and compatible inverter.
- Document warranty and replacement terms.
- Arrange the manufacturer's appropriate collection or recycling route at end of life.
