What you learn
- Planning what each camera must see, and why it goes where it does.
- IP addresses, network diagrams and power needs.
- User accounts, recording schedules and safe remote viewing.
- The maker’s security settings, applied under supervision.
How you show you are ready
Keep a record of your practice work, then pass a practical check against the work standard. Practice tasks include:
- Explain a camera plan to a customer.
- Find a sample event and export the recording.
- Show how the customer controls who can see the cameras.
- Complete a privacy check and a maintenance log.
Practise only on training equipment, or on cameras whose owner has agreed. Never practise on public cameras or other people’s cameras. INGAA training does not replace the official ESSCI CCTV qualification.
