Make every assumption visible
INGAA comparison worksheet: ask each supplier to identify exact models, quantities, mounting or cabling scope, warranty ownership and work excluded from the price. For solar, distinguish gross cost from any expected financial assistance. For CCTV, separate equipment from storage, network changes and recurring cloud charges. A lower number is not useful if it omits work your site requires.
- Ask whether taxes, delivery and installation are included.
- Define response arrangements without assuming round-the-clock support.
- Request a clear payment schedule tied to agreed deliverables.
Finish with an owner-ready handover
INGAA acceptance checklist: collect invoices, serial numbers, manuals and warranty records. Request demonstrations of the functions you bought, including backup operation or recorded-video export as relevant. Keep application and commissioning references for solar projects. Formal qualifications describe installation and testing competencies; your handover should make the completed work understandable to you.
- Agree a snag list and closure date.
- Verify customer-controlled accounts and recovery contacts.
- Keep one contact route for follow-up service.
