What you learn
- Electricity basics, solar parts and safe working limits.
- Site surveys: shade, roof space, electricity use and what the customer needs.
- Installation and testing under supervision, with written test records.
- Handover: showing the customer how to use, switch off and look after the system.
How you show you are ready
Keep a record of your practice work, then pass a practical check against the work standard. Practice tasks include:
- Write a sample site survey report.
- Explain what an on-grid system does during a power cut.
- Prepare a handover checklist for a customer.
Reading online alone does not qualify you for roof or electrical work. INGAA training does not replace official courses such as NISE Suryamitra. Never claim a certificate you have not been awarded.
